Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

How does the sizing run?
They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me.
Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
How comfy are they?
They required minimal break-in time..
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Stunning.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also be smart.

I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair. Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
